A single storey, zero-emissions development in Sussex
James Brecknell Architects approached Falcon Energy for help and advice on a bespoke new build home design that needed energy statements, SAPs and on-site testing.
We have a longstanding relationship with James Brecknell Architects and have worked with them on a variety of projects since 2006. They are a high end architectural practice specialising in the new build bespoke design. The project they were working on was a single, zero emissions, carbon neutral home in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The design had to include various renewable technologies, in conjunction with high thermal fabric.
James Brecknell Architects chose to work with us because they had never designed a carbon-neutral development and required our expertise to achieve this.
In order to obtain planning permission, we needed to produce an energy statement proving that the property was carbon neutral. We worked with the team at James Brecknell Architects to ensure all of the designs, plans and materials used would ensure that the home would be energy efficient and produce zero emissions.
From the plans, we were able to provide a full design stage SAP service, energy statement report and in addition to this, carry out as built calculations and on site testing for completing this project.
As a company, we now install Air Source Heat Pumps and have been instructed to install these on the property, ensuring that it uses renewable energy and was completely carbon neutral. We also provide expert advice on Solar Panels.
